Thank you to The Whitecross Gallery for donating this image to such a worthy cause and thank you to Cathy Wills and Phillips de Pury for such a great evening. What an honour to have your work sharing the same air as deKooning, Basquiat, Warhol, Hirst etc. A blinding evening. Viewing starts now. Auction on 26 February. Full catalogue here

BFAMI supports the Israel Museum, Jerusalem, the Tel Aviv Museum of Art as well as smaller museums around the country. The money raised funds art classes, school visits and many educational programmes which touch the lives of thousands of young people, Jewish, Muslim and Christian from all social classes. The museums play a central creative role for children in Israeli life.

is photography dead?

here's what Newsweek thinks ... As the great modern photographer Lisette Model once said, "Photography is the easiest art, which perhaps makes it the hardest." She had no idea how easy exotic effects would get, and just how hard that would make it to capture beauty and truth in the same photograph. The next great photographers—if there are to be any—will have to find a way to reclaim photography's special link to reality. And they'll have to do it in a brand-new way.
